Operation Toofan 2.0
To completely eradicate the spread and use of narcotic substances in the state, the Excise Department has formulated a comprehensive 100-day action plan with the full participation of Local Self-Government Institutions. Key initiatives of the Excise Department—such as 'Mayangilla Kerala', 'Operation Thunder', 'Vimukthi', 'Operation Toofan', counseling and de-addiction activities, and the 'RELACS' project (aimed at creating drug-free public spaces)—need to be effectively coordinated at the local body level. As part of 'Operation Toofan', "Special Toofan Grama Sabhas" will be convened in all wards of Pilikode Grama Panchayat by October 2nd; this office must be informed of the proceedings.
